Paul Christmass took out the Geraldton GC Croquet Club championship over the weekend to become Geraldton’s representative in the Champion of Champions event in Perth later this year.

In a close competition Christmass’ seven wins and +21 net hoops won out over runner-up Paul Dodson with six wins and +20 net hoops and Wendy McDonald six wins and +5 net hoops.

Christmass’ only loss was to Sheryl Chant as some wild conditions on Sunday provided the unique experience of playing through water hazards.

The GC Champion of Champions event will be held from August 13-14 at Cambridge Croquet Club.
