The Autumn Pennants for the Geraldton Croquet Club came to a close at the weekend as the Blue team led by Paul Dodson claimed the pennant.

Played across fives weeks, five teams of three competed across both doubles and singles games with the pennant awarded to the top team after the round-robin.

The Blue team captained by Paul Dodson with Mary Van De Wyngaard and Lynn Murphy was victorious winning three of four matches.

Individually they won 16 of their 26 games finishing with a positive 38 net hoops while the draw proved crucial for Red team’s second-place finish.

They had the same record as the Black team in third but a worse net hoop score, but the draw allowed them to edge ahead on match points.

Yellow finished in fourth with a 2-2 record the same as Black though well down on net hoops while team White didn’t manage a match win winning just seven of their 24 games.
