Photo gallery: Big weekend for new art as exhibitions launch at Geraldton gallery
Geraldton art lovers were treated to a bonanza weekend of exhibition openings at the local gallery, with events filled with live entertainment, artist talks and more.
Hosted by Geraldton Regional Art Gallery, the exhibition openings on Friday featured works from creatives in the Mid West and across the State.
In her first retrospective exhibition, renowned West Australian printmaker Helen Clarke on Friday presented her artistic take on native flora and the natural world.
The annual Geraldton Camera Club showcase of nationally-accredited images by Mid West photographers also launched at the weekend, with viewers encouraged to vote for their favourite photo.
Former Mid West resident Zac Bruce presented the third exhibition with his Fountains of Dwayne collection using video and shadow projections to explore celebrity and mythology.
All three exhibitions will be on display at the gallery until May 1.
