Geraldton police have seized thousands of dollars in cash and methamphetamines, along with hundreds of rounds of unlicensed ammunition, in a three-day operation targeting illicit drug dealers in the Mid West and Gascoyne District.

During the operation, which ended yesterday, police raided 11 properties and arrested 14 people.

A WA Police spokeswoman said about $10,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized, along with $12,000 cash, ammunition, a large amount of drug paraphernalia and 50 grams of cannabis.

The operation, headed up by Geraldton Detectives, included the police canine section, along with officers from Geraldton and Mullewa police stations.

“Information from the public greatly assists police investigations and operations in relation to the supply of prohibited drugs,” the spokeswoman said.

“The community is encouraged to continue reporting suspicious behaviour to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimetopperswa.com.au.

“People providing information to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous if they wish.”
