Police investigate alleged indecent assault at Geraldton beach
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to an alleged indecent assault on a woman at a Geraldton beach.
The woman, aged in her 30s, was walking along Beresford beach, near the intersection of Chapman Road and Trigg Street, about 7pm on February 5 when the incident happened.
Detective Constable Emma Parr said the woman was pushed from behind and fell to the ground, suffering grazes, and was then indecently assaulted.
She said a man came to the woman’s aid and the attacker fled on a bicycle.
Police would like to talk to the man who helped the woman, and anyone else who may have any information.
Det Const Parr said police had a description of the assailant but were not prepared to release it at this time.
