Major Crash Investigators have charged a woman as a result of a fatal crash at Georgina, south of Geraldton, on June 1.

A 30-year-old Salter Point woman has been charged with two counts of careless driving causing death, one count of careless driving causing grievous bodily harm, and driving with a prescribed illicit drug in oral fluid or blood.

She is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on August 21.

Police said it will be alleged the woman was the driver of the grey Mazda 3 sedan involved in the crash.

According to a previous police statement, Major Crash officers were investigating the crash, in which the sedan was travelling south west on McCartney Road when a collision occurred with a silver Ford F250 utility travelling north-west on Edward Road.

A man in his 30’s received serious injuries and was conveyed to hospital.

The driver and front seat passenger of the Mazda, and the driver and passenger of the Ford were taken to Geraldton Hospital with minor injuries.
