Man charged over weapon incident

A Carnarvon man has been charged over an alleged weapons incident in Geraldton this morning.

Police stopped a vehicle in Green Street, Spalding, at 10.50am, after a weapon was allegedly produced to a member of the public.

The 31-year-old has been charged with trespass, stealing and being armed or pretending to be armed in a way that may cause fear.

He is expected to face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

Police would not reveal what type of alleged weapon was involved.
