Police release name of Geraldton fatal crash victim

Police have released the name of a motorcyclist who died in a crash in Wandina this week.

He was Armando Trimocha Jr, 28, of Tarcoola Beach.

Family have been notified.

A roadside cross and floral tribute with the words “R.I.P. Armando B. Trimocha Jr” was placed near the scene on Tuesday.

Mr Trimocha died as a result of his injuries after his motorcycle and a car collided at the intersection of Brand Highway and Barrett Drive in Wandina on Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred just before 1.30pm when Mr Trimocha’s Kawasaki motorcycle, travelling south on Brand Highway, hit a Nissan Navara turning onto Brand Highway from Barrett Drive.

The driver of the Navara, a man in his 40s, was taken by ambulance to Geraldton Hospital.
