Police have released the name of a 19-year-old Dianella woman who died in a single car crash at Tardun last week.

Brooke Pearl Borgward was the sole occupant in the vehicle.

The accident happened about 6am on November 28, on Pallotine Road, about 140km east of Geraldton and 40km south-east of Mullewa.

Police said Ms Borgward was driving a white Toyota HiLux westerly along the road when the car crossed onto the incorrect side of the road and into a dirt embankment.

A St John Ambulance spokesman said a member of the public provided CPR until ambulance officers arrived, but Ms Borgward was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the Major Crash Unit are investigating.
