Geraldton detectives are appealing for information about a life-threatening event on Thursday night in which a man involved in an altercation at Lester Avenue was thrown in front of a oncoming vehicle.

Detective first class Constable David Costello said the alleged victim was in Royal Perth Hospital’s intensive care unit in a critical condition.

He said police had arrested a 37-year-old man at Yanchep in connection with the incident and investigations were continuing.

He appealed for witnesses to the incident that occurred around 10.45pm or anyone with other information to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
