Police release name of Cape Burney fatal crash victim

Police have released the name of a Northampton man who died in a car crash tragedy at Cape Burney.

Police said Raymond Anthony Jackson, 82, died when two cars collided head-on in a horror crash on Brand Highway on Friday.

Mr Jackson was driving a Holden Barina, travelling north, when his car collided with a Toyota C-HR travelling south about 1km south of Greenough River Road about 8am.

Police said he died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 50-year-old woman, was seriously injured and airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital by the Royal Flying Doctor Service on Friday night.

Her condition yesterday was listed as stable.

Major Crash investigators are seeking information regarding the crash.
