Police seeking information on stolen Toyota Camry burnt to pieces near Waggrakine Primary School

A stolen car was set on fire and burnt to cinders in Waggrakine on Tuesday morning less than 400m from the local primary school.

The silver Toyota Camry sedan was nabbed from a home in Utakarra at about 10.30pm on Monday night and was found on fire a few hours later at the gravel turnaround on Hall Road.

Firefighters were called to the scene at about 2.20am on Tuesday morning, with the car fire extinguished in less than 30 minutes.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services said the fire wasn’t an accident.

Police are yet to arrest anyone over the incident and are appealing for anyone with information on the stolen Camry to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
