Murchison celebrated its 40th year of Murchison Polocrosse with its annual two-day tournament over the school holidays.

Teams from around the Mid West descended on the red dirt in a day of hard competition which was held over the July 9-10 weekend.

Walkaway came away as the victors in the A-grade group with Adrian Colbey and his mount Crescent taking away the best pony award.

Walkaway dominated the weekend, also winning in the C, Junior E and E grade. The E grade win was shared with Mullewa.

Southern Zone got the win in D grade while Irwin led by Anita Grima on Alibi took out B grade.

Following the tournament, teams from the Great Southern hung around to spend the week in the north for a coaching clinic in Walkaway.
