How did you come to live in Geraldton and how long have you called it home? I was on a holiday trip north, before I moved to Albany from Gosnells, but my car broke down at 440 Roadhouse. I swapped the car for the towing fee, so I could not get home. Within 24 hours, I had a prospective girlfriend, a football club, an accounting job, a bouncer job and a nice unit for rent was offered to me. Seemed like the right thing to give Geraldton a go. That was 23 years ago. What’s your day job and the best thing about it? I am the mayor of Greater Geraldton. I love coming to work each day not knowing all of what the day has in store. What do you do for fun? Boxing and scuba diving. What’s a habit you would most like to break and one you would most like to start? I’d like to stop making excuses to go exercising. I’d like to get in the habit of exercising. What’s your most embarrassing moment or something you wish you’d never done? I wish I’d never trusted my friends in Albany to look after my clothes while I skinny-dipped at Middleton Beach. If you weren’t in Geraldton, where would you be? Mayor of Albany. Who inspires you the most? Our service men and women past and present. If money was no object, what would you do? Buy the Reserve Bank so I could print my own. What’s something that never goes out of style and something that should never be in style in the first place? Male skinny jeans. What song sums up your life right now?
