The Revolve Skate Series made a thrilling return to Geraldton on the weekend, launching the opening round of a three-stop circuit showcasing why the event has become a highlight on the regional sporting calendar.
Backed by the City of Greater Geraldton, the series is described by the organisers as “far more than a competition. It is a celebration of youth culture.”
Across street, park and bowl disciplines, the Geraldton skate precinct in Wonthella buzzed with action as riders of all ages rolled in for a packed day of competition.
Local skaters were tested by a strong and talented contingent from Mandurah, with the travelling athletes making the long trip north in search of medals and momentum for the season ahead.
In the Willocks Surf junior division, Crew Anick produced one of the stand-out performances of the day.
He claimed gold in both park and bowl, edging out the determined Olly Holmes, who had travelled hours for his shot at victory. Holmes still made his mark, taking street gold and adding silver in park.
The under-12 division belonged largely to the Weller brothers, with Axel and Louis delivering composed runs under pressure.
Louis captured park gold and added podium finishes in street and bowl, while Axel was consistently in the medals across all three formats.
The under-16 class delivered some of the fiercest battles of the day.
Reigning 2025 season champion Levi Greaves returned determined to defend his crown, but it was Onyx Black who stole the spotlight with a clean sweep of street, park and bowl gold medals.
The girls division was equally impressive, with Scarlett Harrington dominant across all three events.
Sister Opal Harrington pushed hard throughout the day, collecting three silver medals in a strong family showing.
In the open division, the Evans brothers put on a masterclass. Cruz Evans took street gold, Zen Evans claimed park honours, and the pair could not be separated in bowl, sharing the title after a thrilling contest.
Geraldton local Torin Benson also impressed with bronze medals in street and park, showing style and technical creativity.
Off the ramps, the atmosphere remained electric with live performances from 2025 Battle of the Bands winners Heading Home and Chloe Bailey and the Band.
Infinity Skate’s Nick Austin praised the event, saying “it showed the power of community-driven youth initiatives that unite regional and metro riders while building local culture”.
The Revolve Skate Series now heads to Jurien Bay in October before a season finale in Kalbarri in November.
