Rhama Evans one to watch as he commits to Brigades despite scholarship to Scotch College

The Mid West is a proven provider of national level talent in the world of AFL and Rhama Evans has put his name out there as one to watch. Evans has been playing Australian rules since 2014 when he was aged 7 at Brigades Football Club, but has quickly broadened his body of work. He is a member of the Midwest Shark Pack, the East Fremantle Football Club Futures Squad, the WestStar Football Academy Perth, the Fremantle Dockers Next Generation Academy and the WA AFL team. He was captain of the U-15s Western Australian AFL team that travelled to Lavington, NSW, where they finished fourth. On February 20 he travelled to the annual School Sport WA (SSWA) presentation at East Perth Football Club to receive an award as recognition of being captain. While there he accepted Brownlow medallist and Northampton product Patrick Cripps’ induction into the SSWA Hall of Fame on his behalf as a previous State representative. Cripps addressed Evans and the gathered audience and spoke at length about what an important experience being part of School Sport WA was for him as a growing sports player. While Evans has been awarded a scholarship to Scotch College he still plans to return to play for Brigades league team this season as they look to go one better than last year.
