The Sin City Rollers are back on a recruiting drive as Geraldton roller derby celebrates its 10th year as the Mid West’s only roller derby league.

The club is launching its 2023 “fresh meat” recruitment drive at Rocks laneway on March 29 from 5:30 pm.

It welcomes skaters of all abilities while it is also on the hunt for referees and officials for the upcoming season.

It offers a 10- to 12-week roller-skating course and gear can be provided for those without skates to try out and see if the sport is for them.

Geraldton Roller Derby trainer Roxanne Grant said the club was open to everyone.

“Roller Derby is the only sport without a ball that welcomes people of all sizes and ages our current team has players from 18 - 63,” she said.

“This is a general skating program, that will give you all the skills you need to skate with confidence, get fit and make new skating buddies.”

Anyone wanting further info should contact Roxanne Grant on 0428286064.
