The Geraldton Rovers piled on the pain for Chapman Athletic, who extended their losing run for an eighth game in a row, while Olympic made it three wins in a row.

Rovers’ unbeaten season had come to an end the previous weekend at the hands of Abrolhos but they wasted no time in getting back on the winners’ list in a complete mismatch against bottom-of-the-table Athletic.

Alex Moore scored a brace while Athletic were reduced to 10 men in the second half after Matthew Eastough was sent off for a second reportable offence, bringing out the first red card in the league this season.

Ben Rollett, Hamish Fraser, Jared Wing and Milaan Kousari piled on the pain with a goal each to their names as Rovers ran away with the match 6-0.

Olympic maintained their position at the top of the ladder after winning an entertaining clash with Abrolhos 6-3.

Daniel Lennard had two for Olympic, which Jack Eury answered with two of his own for Abrolhos, but Jared Pagnell, Joseph Connolly, Kalan De Luca and Paul Johnson all found the back of the net for the defending champions.

Olympic remain one point clear of Rovers in top spot.

In the women’s, it was a familiar face topping the goal-scoring charts this week as Selina Kiddle scored three goals in Chapman Athletic’s 5-1 win over Olympic.

It was Kiddle’s fourth hat-trick this season and took her to 22 goals from six games. Monica Sullivan added her ninth and Tyler Price scored her first goal of the season.

Cadence De Luca had the lone strike for Olympic, who have now lost their past three games.

Rovers scored an upset over Abrolhos, with Allee Bartlett’s solo effort enough to secure a 1-0 victory to put them a game clear of Olympic in the fourth and last finals spot.

La Fiamma made it eight in a row with a 3-0 win over Marconi, who are still without a point this season. Olivia Bidwell added one goal to her tally to make it 21 for the season.

In the reserves, a 10-man Olympic managed to come away with a 1-1 draw with Abrolhos. Simon Harrison matched Adam Westbrook’s goal after Kaleb Warry was sent off in the first half.
