The Casuals have triumphed over the Rovers, as they claimed victory in the grand final rematch over the weekend, and remain the only undefeated team. The Casuals claim some redemption from the blunder of last year, where they went undefeated the entire season, only to loose to Rovers in a stunning 3-2 defeat in the Grand Final. The Rovers are denied the title defence in the 1-0 loss, as Brad Delane scoring the only goal for the Casuals. In the other men’s A grade games, a hat-trick from Chad Greenaway gave the Australs a 4-0 win over Yacht Club, while Murchison drew nil-all with the Saints. The women’s A-grade had Cardinals continue to prove why they are the best team in the comp with 12-1 thumping over the Swans. Cardinals had hat-tricks from both Jess Giudice-Nairn and Gemma Dix, while Sharnee Willliamson, Kiara Jones and Mikala Van Niftrick all had two scores to their name. Holly Stubberfield scored the Swans lone goal. Australs get their first win of season in the 2-0 win over Yacht club, off the backs of scores from Robyn Opalinksi and Faye Drummond. Murchison defeated Saints in the 1-0 clash as the games single score came off the stick of Klancie Reay. In the men’s reserve’s, Yacht Club toppled Australs in the 3-2 game that saw five individual scorers. Murchison also claim their first win in the 1-0 victory over Saints. Rovers and Casuals tied in the 3-3 contest. In the women’s reserves, Saints Gold had scores from Bridget Parker, Alana Miles and Pam Smeed to beat Murchison 3-0. Saints Black remain undefeated in their 3-1 over the Vets with scores from Tia Hatch, Lisa Norris and Frances Mounsey. Cardinals beat Swans in the 2-0 clash, while Australs and Yacht Club 1 finished in a nil-all draw.
