Santa Claus and his sleigh made an appearance at Christmas on the Terrace thanks to the support of The Menshed Geraldton and the RAC.

The RAC Santa Sleigh was a first for Christmas on the Terrace and The Menshed Geraldton had the important task of building the sleigh and ensuring it was fit for Santa.

Chairman Ross Barden said building the sleigh was a team effort.

“All of us here at The Menshed had great fun working on the sleigh,” he said.

“Lots of people have popped their heads into our building because they’ve seen the sleigh and have asked what it’s for.

“It’s given us the opportunity to explain the project as well as show them around our premises and some of the other projects we work on.

“Christmas is a very special time and I’m glad we are able to give back to the community through the RAC Santa Sleigh.”

City of Greater Geraldton Mayor Shane Van Styn thanked RAC and The Menshed Geraldton for their support.

“RAC’s generous sponsorship has allowed The Menshed Geraldton to craft a spectacular sleigh,” he said.
