Police have released an image of a missing fisherman’s boat as the search continue off the Geraldton coast.

The 78-year-old man set off fishing from the Geraldton boat ramp around 6am this morning in a 13ft white Quintrex aluminium boat with a red stripe on the side.

He was reported as overdue by a family member after he failed to return to shore today.

A number of vessels are searching off the coast, including the Department of Marine Safety vessel.

Police are organising an air search.
