Second girl charged over cinema incident

A second girl has been charged over an incident at Orana Cinemas Geraldton on Monday where a 57-year-old woman was allegedly spat on.

Yesterday, police arrested a 14-year-old girl from Karloo and charged her with assault and stealing.

Police allege she was part of a group of children who allegedly stole $280 cash from a cash register and spat numerous times on the 57-year-old cinema employee.

The girl will face Geraldton Children’s Court at a later date.

Earlier this week a 15-year-old Bluff Point girl was charged with assault and stealing.

Police say investigations are ongoing and further charges are anticipated.
