A man in his 70’s is being airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital after a skydiving accident left him with serious injuries.

The man had a hard landing at Federation Memorial Park in Jurien Bay around 10am this morning.

An RAC Rescue helicopter was deployed with a paramedic aboard. Authorities said the man’s injuries were serious but non-life threatening.

It comes after 30 year old Dimitri Didenko died in Jurien Bay in March while competing in the Virtual National Skydiving Competition.
