St John Ambulance Geraldton volunteers have been piling presents under their office Christmas tree — but it’s not in preparation for Secret Santa.

Instead, the workers are stockpiling children’s toys for WA children living in struggling households.

“This is the second year we have done this,” regional manager Denise McDonald said.

“The staff really love it.”

The presents will be given to Anglicare WA, who will distribute them to children around the State before Christmas.

Community members are welcome to drop presents off at St John’s Wonthella location, but the gifts must be unwrapped so Anglicare staff can determine whether they are suitable.

Anyone interested in becoming a St John volunteer can call 1800 069 393 or visit stjohnchangelives. com.au.
