Stan production of Invisible Boys continues Geraldton portion of filming at HMAS Sydney II Memorial

Filming for the Stan adaptation of Holden Sheppard’s novel Invisible Boys closes out its second week in Geraldton as crews move their focus to an unsuspecting carpark off Chapman Road. A statement from the City of Greater Geraldton outlined film crews would be located opposite Sail Inn and the area would be shut off for filming on Wednesday night and Thursday. On Friday, crews are expected to be located at the HMAS Sydney II Memorial, which will be closed from the public for the duration of filming. Though the carpark next to the Sail Inn was fenced on Thursday, crews were not sighted at the location but instead seen at the carpark at the back of Opus Music Shop on Chapman Road. Last week, crews were seen setting up shop at Geraldton Recreation Centre to film scenes which called for youngsters to come forward in their Rovers Football Club uniforms, via a casting call on Facebook. On Monday morning filming was set to take place along the foreshore and at Northgate Shopping Centre. The centre put up a post on Facebook alerting the public the centre would turn into a film set for the day.
