A host of Mid West footy talent made their debut on the State stage last weekend.

Julia Teakle and her younger sister Tiani, who have both played for East Fremantle in the WAFLW this season, are not the only local women proving their footy prowess.

On Sunday, Charli Bidwell debuted for the Sharks reserves team against Claremont, which ended in a draw at 5.5 (35) a piece. Meanwhile Charli Bidwelll, Tayah Palmer and Brooklyn Cullen made their first showing for East Fremantle in their big round 7 win against Subiaco, 9.13 (67) to 4.0 (24).

All players have come through the Mid West Academy of Sport.

Olivia Bidwell is a talented all-rounder, being named local women’s cricketer of the year last season for Wanderers.

Tiani Teakle, 15, also made her debut for East Fremantle last weekend, joining her big sister Julia, who has starred for the Sharks since her first game earlier this season.
