Police have arrested and charged three 13-year-old boys for allegedly burgling a Mount Tarcoola home.

Acting Sergeant Gillian Simpson said a community member called police reporting suspicious behaviour in his street where two youths had knocked on his door asking for the time.

“The community member had been watching the youths go to different houses in the street,” she said.

“Police located and spoke to the youths. No offences had been reported to police at that time.

“Sometime after, a burglary was reported in the area and the description matched the youths spoken to by police.”

Two of the alleged offenders were refused bail, and the third was bailed to attend Geraldton Children’s Court on Tuesday, December 12.
