Three charged over drug, ammo seizures

Drugs, ammunition and smoking implements were seized from a property in Mt Tarcoola last week.

Geraldton police executed a search warrant on the property on Monday at 9.50am.

Thirty-three grams of cannabis, an ecstasy tablet, ammunition, a mountain bike and smoking implements were seized.

A 32-year-old Moresby man was charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited drug and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 27-year-old Mt Tarcoola woman was charged with possession of a prohibited drug and possession of unlicensed ammunition.

Both are due to appear at Geraldton Magistrate’s Court.

Police also seized a hydroponic set-up from a Sunset Beach property last Wednesday.

A 27-year-old Sunset Beach man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was also charged with criminal damage in relation to another matter.

He is due to appear at Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
