After years of hard work, four Geraldton students have achieved Australian Tertiary Admission Rank results which set them among the State’s best and brightest.

Connie Greeve (98.95) and Tahnee Gronow (97.50), both of Geraldton Grammar School, Nagle Catholic College’s Julia Teakle (97.10) and Champion Bay Senior High School’s Kiona Fry (96.10) earned scores which put them in the top 4 per cent of the 10,572 ATAR students in WA.

ATAR scores are calculated based on WA Certificate of Education exam results. The highest possible rank is 99.95, achieved by just 15 students this year. The 2021 median score was 82.30, putting the four local high achievers well ahead of their peers and the top university courses at their fingertips.

While some students may have already received early offers from one or more universities, the first major round will come out on Thursday, before a second round on January 21.
