Trades and Olympians repeated their success in the top division of junior basketball in Geraldton as the local season finished up.

Trades won the grand final of the girls’ under-18 division while Olympians won the boys — both results were a repeat of the men’s and women’s division one local finals.

Trades beat Pumas 23-20 in the girls’, while Olympians beat Trades 41-34.

Geraldton Amateur Basketball Association administrator Nerolie Gerreyn said there were good games across the divisions, with many of the star juniors in the top divisions coming off playing grand finals for their senior sides.

“All the finals went really well,” she said.

“There were some really good games. A lot of were quite close.”

Richie Bartlett continued his good form for Olympians, taking out both the grand final and season MVP awards, while teammate Judd McVee also had a solid game.

Sheldon McCagh was season MVP runner-up.

Erica Yokwe won the final and season MVP awards, with Charlotte Kennedy runner-up for the season.

Pumas won both the under-16 top-division finals.
