Traffic stop yields drugs, weapon

Two men have been charged after police allegedly seized a metal knuckle duster and a small amount of cannabis during a traffic stop in Waggrakine yesterday.

Officers stopped the men in a Holden Cruze on North West Coastal Highway about 1.30am.

A 30-year-old Tarcoola Beach man was charged with possessing a weapon and a 28-year-old man was charged with possessing a prohibited drug.

Both will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
