Trainer Ashley Maley hungry for more Geraldton success

Trainer Ashley Maley is hoping for more of the same this Friday at the Carnarvon race meet in Geraldton. He took a first and a second two Fridays ago, with Alan Kennedy riding Old Bailey to first place in the $9600 1120m Tremor Earthmoving Maiden, and Roll The Good Times to second in the Happy 77th Birthday Ted Mcguire Handicap over 2000m. “I’m hoping to have at least a couple up there and a couple of live chances,” Maley said. “There’s horses for courses obviously. “Some of them will be nominated for Perth and Geraldton.” The Carnarvon meets were shifted to Geraldton for the first three dates on the calendar due to coronavirus restrictions. Maley said when the races shift back up north after this meet, he was planning to send some runners to what may be the most competitive Carnarvon season in a long time.
