Trial for rape accused

A Geraldton man accused of rape will face trial after pleading not guilty. Todd Aldrick, 32, faced Geraldton Magistrate’s Court yesterday, charged with two counts of aggravated sexual penetration without consent. It was alleged the truck driver offended against a woman known to him on September 6 in Drummond Cove. He was scheduled to appear in Geraldton District Court on March 5, when a date for his trial will be allocated. His conditional bail was extended, which had been granted by Magistrate Chris Miocevich on September 7 when Mr Aldrick first faced court, on a $10,000 personal undertaking and $10,000 surety. He was ordered not to contact or try to contact the victim and three others, and is not allowed to go within 100m of those people or where they live and work.
