Trick-or-treaters take on the town as Geraldton gets into the Halloween spirit

Trick-or-treaters brought out their best costumes for a night of fun and mischief across Geraldton on Halloween night on Monday.
Forden Street in Mount Tarcoola was a hot spot for those celebrating the spooky season, with zombies, vampires, ghosts, pirates, witches, skeletons and ghouls all going door to door looking for lollies.

Neighbours brought out their best scary decorations to give the kids a night to remember with houses draped in webs and littered with jack-o-lanterns.
More and more people across Australia are celebrating the holiday, and Halloween has certainly caught on with Geraldton’s younger generations.

Although some older folks might worry about Americanisation, the kids don’t seem to care.
Halloween is a $9 billion industry in the US, so it seems from that standpoint, Australia is just scratching the surface of the spooky juggernaut.
