A woman was trapped in her car for about 45 minutes following yet another accident at Geraldton’s most notorious intersection on Friday afternoon.

The woman, the driver of one of two cars which collided at the intersection of Brand Highway and Barrett Drive, Wandina, had to be freed by SES personnel.

Both sides of the highway were blocked while police, fire brigade and emergency workers freed the woman, who was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The condition of the other driver is unknown but police said there were no life threatening injuries to those involved.

The intersection is a renowned accident spot. In January, Armando Trimocha Jnr was killed when his motorcycle and a car collided. Mr Trimocha’s then pregnant wife, Joan, has since given birth to a daughter, Amara.
