Two kids allegedly steal keys from inside Headspace Geraldton office and steal employee’s car

Three boys aged 14 and under are accused of stealing a Headspace Geraldton worker’s car on Wednesday, after taking keys from a handbag inside an office. Geraldton police allege three boys entered Headspace Geraldton on Marine Terrace about 3.20pm on Wednesday. Acting officer in charge Sen. Sgt Paul Johnson said the boys entered the premises and made their way into an office where they found a handbag, belonging to an employee’s partner. Sen. Sgt Johnson said one of the boys allegedly stole the keys from the bag. The group made their way to the carpark where police say they allegedly stole the employee’s Toyota Corolla. One of the accused drove the vehicle around several suburbs, picking up another three kids, before the car was abandoned in Strathalbyn, according to Sen. Sgt Johnson. Two juveniles appeared in Geraldton Children’s Court on Thursday charged with two counts of stealing a motor vehicle and aggravated burglary and commit. They received bail. A 13-year old is back in court on May 28. A 14-year-old will appear on June 4 in Carnarvon.
