Two women charged with drink driving – same car, same day

Geraldton Guardian

Geraldton police have charged two women with drink driving offences, after they were allegedly caught in the same car on the same day.

About 4.15am on Saturday, police stopped a Toyota Kluger in Karloo and did a random breath test on the driver.

A 25-year-old woman from Wickham was allegedly found to have been in excess of 0.08.

Police will allege she also contravened her learner’s permit and provided a false name.

About an hour later, police stopped the same vehicle and allegedly found a different woman driving under the influence of alcohol.

The 24-year-old from Mount Magnet was also alleged to have been driving with a cancelled licence.

The car owner received an order to surrender the vehicle to police for 28 days.
