Valley Groove 2022 a hit with Mid West festival crowd

Festivalgoers were treated to a wonderful weekend of dancing and nature at this year’s Valley Groove. Held over Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the picturesque Nukara Farm, 33km north-east of Geraldton, the festival featured a massive line-up of local and travelling artists. More than 25 artists from across WA appeared over the weekend including Ada Rose, Bassfiend, Eggs, Eggs Benny, Carte Blanche DJ’s, Marlee, Micah, and Jbos. It’s the second year in a row Sweet Orange Productions have teamed up with Nukara Farm for the adventure dance Valley Groove, and based on the reception you can expect it to return next year. The theme for 2022 was Woodstock and there was no shortage of tie-dye shirts, denim jackets and everything 60s between. Hundreds of guests from the Mid West and surrounding areas travelled to the farm to set up camp and groove together. The Hip Hop yoga session on Saturday left over 30 participants with sore legs and funny memories, taking a refreshing dip to cool down afterwards at the Fox Dam. Those who were game enough climbed on the flying fox and swung into the chilling water before getting ready for the late night celebrations. Bassfiend’s Saturday night set, performed on the back of a tractor was a particular highlight while the party continued long into the night at the Creek Stage. There more than a few tired faces on Sunday as people packed down there tents and swags and headed home after a long weekend of fun. No doubt many will be already looking forward to returning for next year’s festivities.
