Fur coats, metallic flared pants and plenty of colour filled Nukara Farm in Chapman Valley last weekend as hundreds of guests pitched their tents and parked their caravans to enjoy Valley Groove. Sweet Orange Productions perfected another serving of adventure, dance and splendour at Nukara with the third Valley Groove festival. When people weren’t dancing, they were participating in workshops and enjoying the scenery with friends, with the two-day festival offering something for everyone. Snowflake disco-themed outfits had the space covered in furry coats, hats and metallic flares, while others went big with colour. The Cheeky Peach Mobile Cocktail Bar provided delicious drinks, Geraldton’s new 30 Knots Spirits provided the gin, and Finlay’s Kalbarri helped out by providing kegs of beer. Get Hitched Caravan Hire donated a decked-out Jayco caravan, which was supplied to a competition winner, and local businesses provided affordable hair braiding and free face painting. Sunday Best hit it off as the bonfire was lit, followed by Swami and Naeco as the tractor stage got rolling and the crowd made their way back to the main stage. Singer Reigan Derry did not disappoint, performing as the main act on Saturday night, playing familiar songs that got the crowd moving.
