After helping more than 2000 Mid West children in need last year alone, Variety WA is back on the fundraising trail, hosting a cocktail party in Geraldton next month.

The aim is to raise funds to provide more help to children in the area who live with disability, illness or are experiencing disadvantage, boosting their quality of life.

The circus-themed cocktail party will take place on Saturday, March 21 and will give local supporters the chance to show up for the charity, while having a fun night out and welcoming contributions from local businesses.

Variety WA chief executive officer Chris Chatterton said regional communities made vital contributions to the charity.

Funds raised would provide hands-on help to Mid West families, including medical and mobility equipment, therapy and early intervention, education resources and wellbeing support.

“The Mid West continues to show incredible generosity. Last year alone, more than 2200 children in the Mid West were supported through Variety programs,” he said.

“Events like this allow us to respond directly to local need and make a real, tangible difference for families in the region.”

Local Variety Mid West regional co-ordinator Jan Ajduk said it was “especially heartening” that a number of Mid West businesses would be contributing to the event.

“It really shows how strongly the local community gets behind its own — and how much people care about ensuring children and families in our region have access to the support they need,” she said.

Tickets for Variety Mid West — The Greatest Charity on Earth Cocktail Party at 169 Connell Road, West End are on sale now, with all proceeds supporting the charity’s work across the region.
