Woman allegedly used fake currency at Shell Coles Express in Wonthella, Geraldton

A woman has been charged after she allegedly used fake currency at Shell Coles Express, Wonthella, on Saturday.

Police allege the woman, and another person, went to the petrol station and convenience store about 4.50pm where they bought a number of items.

Staff became suspicious about the couple and reported the matter to police.

A 42-year-old Mount Tarcoola woman has since been charged with two counts of fraud.

She will face Geraldton Magistrate’s Court at a later date.
