One woman has died and a man is in a stable condition after two separate incidents within hours of each other at the Geraldton foreshore at the weekend.

Police say the incidents occurred near Dome Cafe on Saturday afternoon.

The first victim, a 26-year-old Katanning woman, was removed from the water on a witness’ jet ski.

She was airlifted to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service for emergency treatment but was unable to be revived. A 25-year-old Perth man was taken to Geraldton Regional Hospital and remains in a stable condition.

Police were the first responders and provided CPR at the scene before St John Ambulances arrived.
