Women Inspiring Better Business hosts its third business expo at Geraldton Grammar School
Business women of Geraldton gathered at Geraldton Grammar School’s Batavia Hall last weekend to promote what they are passionate about at a local business expo.
Women Inspiring Better Business held its third business expo on Saturday, for the first time in four years because of COVID-related delays. It was a chance for local businesswomen to gain exposure, attract new customers and get their brand out there.
About 40 stalls were set up in the hall as a steady turnout came and went throughout the day. Regular door prizes and speakers made the event interactive, with stallholders making good sales as well as networking.
WIBB chair Barbara Thompson said: “The expo is an opportunity for women to put a spotlight on their business, especially many women who have home-based businesses.
“There are businesses here today that we’ve never heard of before, so it’s a great way to get their products and services out there and to network.
“That’s the beauty of WIBBs, it provides that opportunity to support and encourage women and inspire them in their business journey.”
The plan going forward is to hold the business expo every two years.
WIBBs hosts regular networking breakfasts, sundowners and motivational speakers. For more information you can visit their Facebook page.
The group thanked their sponsors for the business expo — Shine Aviation, Lara Dalton MLA, Steve Martin MLC, Gums and Gables Beauty Therapy, Bendigo Bank Geraldton, Dwyer Durack and Iluka Resources.
