While Saturday night was a heartbreak for Freo fans, one West Aussie has become an instant millionaire.

One lucky Sandgroper has pocketed $1,247,390.16 after scoring a share of the Division One prize alongside four other winners from around Australia.

The winning numbers were 6, 25, 27, 2, 31, 40, with supplementary numbers 24 and 35.

Fourteen West Australians also struck Division Two, each taking home a handy $12,177.45.

Saturday’s big WA win comes just days after a FIFO rigger from the State became a millionaire after a last-minute ticket switch landed him a $1 million Millionaire Medley windfall.

The lucky punter had been a regular Set for Life player but decided to grab a Millionaire Medley ticket at the last minute after his usual game was temporarily unavailable.

He said his first priority was buying a new home for himself and his partner.

“I started house hunting straight away and we’ve already been to some home opens, even before collecting the prize money,” he said.
