One WA couple has walked away from Valentine’s Day with a lot more than just a box of chocolates.

A couple in their 40s from Mandurah discovered they had scored a massive Division One jackpot from Saturday night’s Lotto draw — leaving them $2 million richer.

The winning numbers were discovered by the pair after they returned from a Sunday shopping trip, having spent the day on the hunt for a new massage chair.

Checking for a potential Saturday Lotto win wasn’t the first task on the Mandurah couple’s mind, however.

“When we got home from shopping the first thing I did was check the cricket score,” one of the winners revealed.

Although the WA team had sadly lost their match, the punter would soon realise an even bigger win was awaiting them.

“My disappointment (over the cricket loss) soon faded when I checked my Lotto ticket and saw I had all the numbers,” they said.

“I couldn’t believe it . . . we didn’t sleep a wink that night.”

The couple confessed they were finally able to accept the reality of their massive win when Lotterywest contacted them on Monday morning about the jackpot.

The hefty cash prize means the couple will be able to finally secure their dream massage chair, regardless of its price.

A good massage isn’t the only thing the couple intends to spend their winnings on, however.

An early retirement, a holiday home in Margaret River, and donations to charity are also on the cards for the Mandurah duo.

The couple purchased their winning Divison One ticket through Lotterywest Play Online.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the couple’s Valentine’s Day jackpot was the latest in a string of massive WA wins.

“West Aussies were certainly celebrating a Lotto love for the Valentine’s Day weekend, with a total of five Division One prizes won by WA players,” she said.

“WA’s Division One winners tally across all Lotto games for 2026 is now at 15, with these players sharing in more than $26 million in Division One prizes.”

Sandgropers hoping to make the lucky list of winners have a fresh chance on Tuesday evening, with the OZ Lotto draw offering WA punters a chance to win $30 million.

Tickets for Tuesday’s jackpot are available until 6pm.
