East Manjimup Primary School celebrated 100 days of the school year and brought a bit of joy to the beginning of Term 3 with a dress up day on Friday.

Students and staff were encouraged to dress in their interpretation of “100”, with some students opting to dress as 100-year-olds and others deciding to pin 100 items of something on their clothes.

Activities throughout the day included a quiz and games that would have been played 100 years ago.

On Friday morning, the day’s celebrations began with a parade of the creative costumes.

“The East Manjimup Primary School tradition of dressing up for special occasions continues today,” principal Michael Smith said. Year 2 teacher Danielle Percival suggested the idea for 100 days of school celebration.

“We all had a horrible last term due to COVID, so I really wanted a fun way to dress up in a creative way,” she said.
