Bluff Point Primary School celebrated NAIDOC with an open day on Thursday.

“It’s a day when everybody can get together and develop their relationships and their friendships while we celebrate NAIDOC,” principal Celine Bellve said.

Ms Bellve said visitors were invited to see and take part in “rotational activities” such as poetry, protective behaviours, sport, Nhanda storytelling, yarning, face painting, damper-making and gardening.

Beside the school itself, participating guest organisations included Ngala, the City of Greater Geraldton, Desert Blue Connect, Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Corporation, Karlumangga Corp, School Drug Education and Road Aware, Geraldton Regional Aboriginal Medical Service, and Centrelink.
