A 30-year-old man’s thirst for alcohol must have been great after he was charged with allegedly stealing two cartons of beer in a Geraldton home burglary.

Police allege the offender smashed a glass window to gain entry to the Rangeway home yesterday and stole the cartons, valued at $100.

The Rangeway man has been charged with burglary and stealing and will appear before Geraldton Magistrate’s Court on July 23.
