A Geraldton man is facing charges over the alleged seizure of $13,000 in cash, along with drugs, weapons and drug paraphernalia during a routine vehicle stop last night.

Mingenew police allegedly found the money - along with several bags of methamphetamine - hidden underneath the power window mechanisms of the front passenger and driver's doors.

Officers also allegedly seized a butterfly knife, dagger, glass smoking implement and scales.

The 35-year-old was travelling in a Mitsubishi utility when stopped by police about 30 kilometres south of Jurien Bay on Indian Ocean Drive at 11pm.

He has been charged with possession of unlawfully obtained money, possession of a prohibited drug, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a controlled weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He has been bailed to appear before Jurien Bay Magistrate's Court next month.
