GNFL produces in Round 1

Nigel RoutledgeGeraldton Guardian

Chapman Valley overcame a last quarter onslaught from Northampton at Purcher International Oval on Saturday night before Brigades held off a fast finishing Mullewa on Sunday afternoon at GBSC Park.

At WA Country Builders Stadium Towns put on a clinic in the second half to run out 82 point victors against a young Rovers outfit.

Former Fremantle player Josh Simpson sustained a leg injury in the third term of the Brigades V Mullewa match, limping off twice and not returning after three quarter time, and there will be concerns as to whether he will line up in the Saints clash with Northampton next Saturday night.
